Local files and text

File and text tools run in your browser. File contents, names, hashes, text, previews and results aren’t uploaded to Drop to Done. Downloads are new copies; your originals stay unchanged.

Video links

When you submit a platform video link, our server receives that URL, contacts the platform and relays the video. Jobs have a two-minute limit. The application doesn’t save source links, platform cookies or videos to disk, or import your browser cookies.

Direct file links download from the source to your browser, subject to the source’s access rules.

Site settings

Your browser downloads our pages, fonts and software to load the tools. Your light or dark theme preference is stored in this browser. We don’t use advertising or analytics trackers.

Connection data

Our server and hosting provider receive ordinary connection details, including your IP address. The video downloader counts requests by IP in memory for up to a minute to limit abuse. Application logs record service events, without file data, pasted video links or media.
